1966 Giulia Sprint GT

Rarely available, one of, if not THE best Giulia Sprint GTs in the UK. Original RHD in graphite grey.

Restored by ourselves in 2011/ 2012 when it was showing 56,500 miles it has had one change of ownership since that time & now shows 67,500 on the clock.

This car was so original & unmolested it was a delight to restore. Only the lower 4 inches of the car body were showing corrosion, so the outer sills, front & rear valances, front cross-member and rear arches were replaced (being a ’66 it has the ‘deep’ rear arches).

A full engine rebuild was undertaken, upgraded with a gas-flowed head & Alfa 105 48 cams, as used in the 1750. An Alfaholics Sports exhaust system including tubular manifolds was also fitted to complete the added breathability exercise. New carbs were fitted and the car also had a complete gearbox rebuild, a re-cored radiator, and an overhaul of the Dunlop braking system.

The gentleman commissioning the completion of the restoration added to the car’s specification with Veloce seats and a complete re-trim of the interior with blue-grey Connolly leather & a new carpet set. The original radio that came with the car to us at the time works & has had an iPhone connection installed. We also installed rear inertia style seat belts.

Currently sporting ‘TZ’ style alloy wheels & Vredestein Classic tyres, the owner has tracked down a set of original 15” steel rims & NOS hubcaps which will be available with the car.

In beautiful, restored condition with a few sympathetic upgrades, this 52 year old car drives superbly surprising many moderns with its high spec of all-alloy twin cam engine, 5-speed box and disc brakes all-round!
